Alumni Weekend
.

Old friends and classmates reunite at EAS, sharing past joys and memories at the second official alumni weekend hosted by the school.  Nearly every graduating class since 2000 was represented by at least one alumni. Turnout for this event trumped last year's attendance, and many alumni showed interest in continuing this exciting new tradition. After a Sabbath School service hosted by Dennis Badzik and current students, Alumni representing the class of 01', 02', 04 participated in the music church service and  Ryan Jones, previous student at EAS and graduate at PUC, preached the sermon for the church service.  He spoke about the perceived image of God and how we as Christians can propagate Christ's love to others in our community.  After lunch, alumnists were able reunite and share stories.  In the evening, the EAS girls' volleyball team played a girl's alumni team.  EAS continued showing the dominance that they have illustrated throughout this season, beating the alumni team 3 sets to 0. On Sunday, the Student Association hosted the annual golf tournament and it turned out to be one of the most successful in a long time!  The weather cooperated in our favor and we had one of the largest groups of golfers we have seen in years.  Foursomes Mike Coppola, James Granucci, Ron Kopitzke and Van Paris won the A flight with a score of -13.  Principal Larry Ballew, Jerry and Brandon Dennis, and Craig Klatt won the B Flight with a -6.  Lastly Pat Mello 10', Taylor Spiva 10', Zach Granucci 12' and Sean Coppola 11' won the Student Flight.  If you were one of the many family, friends, or alumni who supported this year's alumni weekend thank you - and we hope to see you the first weekend in October 2010.  Mark your calendars!
